Since the first two episodes of my first series are up, I figured I should do an information page about it.

It's a concept that hasn't left my mind since I started playing around with KiseKae2. Rainbow Girls Brigade, or RGB for short, is an on-going series with transformations, existential crises, mysterious pasts and a heaping pile of ambiguity. The story will be told through KiseKae panels and written deviations.

The story is driven by plot and character, not the transformations. Transformation, both mental and physical is a key element of this series, as is exploring questions of identity.

I hope you all enjoy it!

So hey, you've stumbled upon my dA. Welcome! I love taking photos of nature and my BJDs but I admire artists of all disciplines and mediums.

I've been in the BJD hobby since 2006 and have 6 BJDs. My dolls are:
Fleur Royale (Mythdoll Yue)
Alwyn Ruth Taylor (Souldoll Tiffee, modded to have more open eyes)
Druella (Bobobie Pixie)
Finn Finnian (Bobobie Bao)
Viviana (IslandDoll Jessie)
Ethel Naomi Darnell (Souldoll Lily C)

If you want to read about the characters that my dolls represent or if you want to read my journal, my LiveJournal is [link] It's Friends Only, but just comment to be added.

RGB is a comic series I'm making using a program called KiseKae 2. If you're curious, I made a journal entry talking a bit more about it. The panels themselves are in the "RGB" folder of my Gallery. :)

Hi there. I was just wondering if I could ask you something. I'm trying to get into the BJD hobby but I was worried about yellowing. I originally read about how mellow the yellowing is on your dolls considering how long you've had them on a doll forum and I was wondering if you've accomplished this by keeping your dolls in their boxes or do you just regularly keep them on a shelf where they get a bit of light? Sorry, that's long o.o but I'd appreciate the help ^^

Sure, I'm always willing to help answer questions! To slow down how quickly my dolls yellow, I keep them on dresser where they don't get any sunlight. My first BJD was kept on a dresser with more sunlight, as the blind was left open for long periods of time. So unlike my other dolls, she has yellowed to a considerable degree. I keep my dolls displayed out of their boxes because I like looking at them all the time. However keeping them in their boxes would probably slow down yellowing even more.

Yellowing is inevitable but limiting long periods of exposure to direct sunlight can prevent it from happening quickly and unevenly. Different resins will yellow differently and I've found that yellowing is the most noticeable with white resins.

I hope that was helpful and not just a long, rambling mess. ^_^;

I was planning to keep my doll on a bookshelf in my room because I also don't want to keep it hidden away but even though it's not in direct sunlight, there're windows in my room so it's not dark. That's why I was worrying, if THAT kind of light would make it yellow quickly. You said you keep your dolls on a dresser? does the room they're in have windows? Because if they do then wow your dolls are in great condition.

Sorry if that sounds stupid, I keep worrying that if the light touches my doll then BAM, she'll be yellow in just a few months T_T

And noo, it was actually really helpful ^^ It's comforting to know about people who keep their dolls on display and still have them years later. Because then I hear about the people who tell you to put your doll in a box with no wig and white clothes when your not using it...I worry o.o
